Mike Sharp

Having successfully transitioned from his career into a portfolio of entrepreneurial, coaching, not-for-profit, and consulting roles, Mike is an ideal Project You Advisor. He deeply enjoys his time assisting college students seeking greater purpose, clarity, and confidence as they explore challenges and opportunities ahead. The consummate coach, he encourages students to attack career planning much like a championship ballgame – with great preparation, effort, determination, and the good sense to call an audible from time to time!

During his 34-year career at Bank of America, Mike held numerous executive management roles within the Corporate Real Estate Division. His assignments ranged from overseeing the development and execution of a global real estate strategy for the bank’s 60,000+ Technology & Operations associates to managing the design and construction of hundreds of buildings and branches across the US.

In 2001, Mike co-founded Stewards of the Game, a non-profit organization that teaches faith-based life lessons through sports to more than 1,000 youngsters each year. Mike’s commitment to this outreach has taken him to Bolivia, Kenya, Nicaragua, Zambia, the Bahamas, and Haiti, where he led camps and clinics for impoverished youth.

Mike continues to mentor student-athletes at his alma mater, Davidson College, where he majored in economics and played varsity football and baseball. Mike can often be found on the ballfield where he serves as an instructor at the Soaring Eagles Baseball Academy. He and his wife, Teresa, live on Lake Norman in North Carolina, where they enjoy boating, playing pickleball, and sitting around the fire pit with family and friends. Mike and Teresa have two adult sons, David and Nathan.
