Bill Lorenz
With decades of global financial services leadership experience and a career-long passion for mentoring, Bill Lorenz inspires clients to think deeply, take smart risks, and be generous with their knowledge. After 40 years at Bank of America, he now shares his learned lessons to guide clients on effective problem solving, building meaningful relationships, and leading with excellence.
Always willing to take on the next challenge, Bill is most proud of the global client and colleague impact he delivered—learning that every connection matters. His Bank of America tenure culminated in 2021 as the Integration Executive for Merchant Services, leading the assimilation of merchant capabilities as a key product offering across all lines of business. Previously, Bill served as COO of Global Technology & Operations, overseeing workforce management, risk governance and controls, and Brexit strategy. Earlier in his career, Bill lived and worked in London as COO and Business Development Executive for EMEA and Asia. Prior to London, Bill served as the Commercial Banking Executive in the Mid-Atlantic, Southwest, and Northeast regions, with client relationship activities in 20 states.
Passionate about his community, Bill has served on the boards of a wide variety of education, healthcare, and other not-for-profit organizations. He currently serves in leadership roles for one of the largest Episcopalian churches in the US. He also serves as a member of Greenhouse Scholars’ North Carolina board of directors as a member and Past Chair of The Salvation Army of Greater Charlotte’s advisory board. He is a former member of the Providence Day School’s Board of Trustees and Freedom School Partners’ Board of Directors.
Bill earned a degree in Economics from Bucknell University. He and his wife have two adult children and live in North Carolina.
